Fun Story Friday: Origin Dr. Robotnik?

To begin I want to start with missing last week’s Fun Story Friday. Week 1 I did a story dice rolled based on a premillennial view of history. In Week 2 It was fun to write a historically inspired creative story. Now for the third week it might be fun to open up a more personal method of dice rolling story elements different from the easy prepurchased dice that I got from Amazon.

Rolls are 2, 5,977, (6) 25, 21, 22, 19, 16, 15 (YUVSON) (4) 4, 2, 6, 8

1 (Male), (6/13) 23,5,7,20,4,21 (WEGTDU – G. WUDET), (4) 20, 10, 15, 17 = 62, 2/4Greying, 4/4Almond, 4, 2, 2distant, 1 self, 6/20 (poorly dressed), 2(H)

I let the world’s collapse… Where did it all go wrong? We thought everything would be safe, but it led to the smallest leak. Ironically it was my protege that had seen a story about chocolate stopping nuclear leaks, but it changed everything. We didn’t realize all the explosives stored from small munitions to our directed energy platforms would ignite or implode. I was brought to the Youngstown Ultra Violet Specrtometer Omnibus Nucleon plant that everyone just calls YUVSON. I guess that name should still be technically top secret, but since the world went kaput I figure so should some constructs of our society. You can’t protect people from mistakes and lying to them only rubs salt in the wounds of loss and grief to those remaining. I have been observing this as people riot and loot from those who are left alive at least. Everyone used to stock up on eggs and milk, but since they have been infected crackers and I might be in my 60’s, but things have started changing for people. It seems like the changes are based upon who and where they were, but the nucleonic that leaked out of our reactor alters whoever it passes through. I might have been one of the first to be affected, but since we don’t know how long it will persist people might be changed to the point it gets out of control.

My name is Glen and I have been working for days to produce drones, robots, cars, anything that I can think of. My plan is to first coordinate efforts to gather information about and shut down the nucleonic wave, but if not I want to get as many people out of harms way as possible. It’s all on me for this problem since the others involved are dead.

*Alert sounds* Dr. Wudet, you have a call from Dr. (12) Langston

Monitor presents face on the screen as Glen approaches his desk. “Hello Doctor Wudet, we have a development that we need your help with.”

“What is it (23) Wayne?”

“Have you been tracking the Nucleonic wave? It’s passing through (15) Ottowala, (23) Userte where nobody died, but back 2,000 migetons at Migrade people started having reactions. I know you were exposed, but have you had any strange reactions since you exposure?”

“Well my mustache is growing faster than my beard, which is murder to maintain. Oh, I forgot is it abnormal to produce 16 drones, 3 robots drones, and 18 automated vehicles in 48 hours?”

“Maybe not to jokes we make about ourselves Glen, but it is way too fast. Can you run or move quickly on your feet?”

“Not really, I mean I’m not in the best of shape anyways; however, I know you wouldn’t call if you didn’t have a purpose.”

“Certainly, your little manufacturing of gizmo’s and gadget’s isn’t the only phenomenon, but it seems like we could use it to figure out what is happening.”

“So you want me to make and operate the machinery to find all of these nucleo-powered Individuals?”

“Absolutely, and especially NPI’s sounds way better than nukepeeps?”

“No way Wayne, who came up with nuke peeps? It sounds like a spicy marshmallow treat.”

‘Not cool Glen, but you need to deliver them to our facilities.”

“What happens then? Do they just get stuck in cages until you figure out if you can use them?”

“You know that I don’t make that decision, but I will do what I can.”

“Not good enough Wayne, there needs to be a better option than that.”

“You know that this was a courtesy. You could have been taken, but I persuaded the counsil that you were more useful to us with your freedom.”

“Wayne, I don’t think that you could have bypassed my robotic army, but even if you could it wouldn’t matter, because what you don’t realize is that I have been gathering nuclear’s for a while.”

The screen shut’s off. Glen puts on a headset and states, “Time to go recruiting at Migrade…”
